Gingko May Ease Hearing Loss

Ginkgo has been shown to be just as effective as drugs in restoring hearing in those who suffer sudden hearing loss.  A study of hearing loss linked to circulatory problems found ginkgo as helpful as the drug pentoxifylline;  hearing improved by about one-third in people given the drug or the herb.  (Acta Otolaryngol 2002; 121:579-584)
